 Meet Jeremy

An award-winning facilitator, Jeremy has worked with thousands of college and university professionals to address issues of gender-based violence on campuses across the country. He has been in higher education administration for more than 14 years, and is currently the Associate Dean of Students in the University for Disciplinary Affairs at the University of Chicago. In addition to administrative roles, Jeremy has previously been an adjunct faculty member, teaching public speaking and critical thinking to undergraduate students. Because of his background in teaching, communications, and student affairs, Jeremy is able to bring a unique perspective to issues affecting institutions of higher education and how to best serve the whole campus community.

Jeremy routinely works with individuals and institutions on issues of Title IX compliance, risk management, student conduct, fraternity and sorority life, and institutional policy and procedure development. His experiences have taught him how to effectively interact, collaborate, and partner with a wide range of individuals, including students, faculty, staff, upper-level administrators, alumni, parents/guardians, community members, business leaders, and neighbors. His areas of expertise include investigations, panel member education, student conduct, resolution system design, and the intersection of policy and procedure as it relates to issues of violence against women.

Jeremy is a trained mediator and a facilitator of the Alcohol Skills Training Program (ASTP). He serves as a volunteer for a national fraternity where he works with students on issues of risk management, alcohol, hazing, leadership, and member education. He is an active member of and past board of directors member of the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA). He serves as a technical assistance provider through the Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MSCASA) for campuses receiving grants through the Office on Violence Against Women and the Department of Justice.

Jeremy has a Ph.D. in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia, a M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina, and a BA in Mass Communications and Theatre from Lander University.
